  2. base, and dependent on cash crops and
  3. unprocessed minerals. The Group of 77 was
  4. established 1964 to pressure industrialized
  5. countries into giving greater aid to less
  6. developed countries. The terms `less
  7. developed' and `developing' imply that
  8. industrial development is desirable or
  9. inevitable; many writers prefer to use Third
  10. World as opposed to `industrialized
  11. countries', or `South' to `North'.
